Centreville is the county seat of Queen Anne’s County, Maryland, on the Eastern Shore, a short way from the Corsica River. The center of town is a historic district with the courthouse and older brick buildings, and newer neighborhoods have been added on the edges.

US-301 passes just west of town and Route 213 runs through it, with Route 18 leading toward Kent Island and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. US-301 is the main route north toward Delaware and Middletown and south toward the Bay Bridge, and US-50 is a drive south. Chestertown is a drive north on Route 213.

The Corsica River gives residents a waterfront park and a place to launch small boats or walk, and the surrounding countryside has open fields and creeks. Tuckahoe State Park to the south has trails and a lake, and the Chesapeake Bay beaches and Kent Narrows are a drive. Shopping and dining are along Route 213 and US-301.
